The objective of this petition is to simply highlight the support of our neighborhood to City Council introducing the idea of a seasonal snowball concession (April 30th - September 30th). Currently, our community offers no seasonal refreshments in or around local parks & recreation including; RE Olds Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Bicentennial Park, Empower Adventures, and Mobbly Bayou less special events.
I've had the privilege of witnessing & participating in a community truly committed to friends & family. There is something very special about our city and a snowball concession only adds value to the the community we love so much. This confection culture creates an opportunity for the community to gather, and spend time with their families while also enjoying our Parks during Summer heat.
We need the Council's approval/support to permit the concession access to temporary use of city property (Parks & Recreation) during the season. Without support, the operation is very limited.
