Prevent the Extinction of Sumatran Tigers

Sumatran tigers are a subspecies living on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. They have been classified as critically endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Their main causes for extinction are palm oil plantations on Sumatra and illegal smuggling of tiger bones. One such company that is destroying Sumatran tiger habitat to make way for plantations is Cargill, Inc.

To quote WWF, "The island of Sumatra is the only place where tigers, rhinos, orangutans and elephants live together and the presence of Sumatran tiger is an important indicator of biodiversity in a forest. Protecting tigers and their habitat means many other species benefit—including humans."

If we don't draw as much attention to this issue as possible, then the Sumatran tiger will die out. Please help. Sign this petition and prevent the extinction of the Sumatran tigers.
