Stop Diamondhead POA from proceeding with Building at East Rec Center

The POA is proceeding with a proposal for a building at East Rec. The plans were to remove the basketball court, the current volleyball field, football and baseball practice fields.

They claim there will be no cost or dues increase because they have a $500,000 surplus from giving the roads to the city; however, they are not considering annual operating costs, i.e. insurance, employees' salaries, taxes, utilities, etc. They are quoting $110 per sq ft for the building (residential building maybe, but this is a commercial building).

This will be one more thing that the property owners will have to subsidize with their monthly dues.

This proposal was never summited to the property owners for a vote.
