Petition for Clemency for Derek Lee. Daigle

We the people of Louisiana do request that Derek Lee Daigle, Sr. DOC number
451360 be granted clemency after having served 15 years of a 32 year sentence. We feel this sentence of 32 years was excessive and are requesting his release back into society. Since his incarceration he has become a changed man. He has the respect of the prison system and fellow inmates . He has become an active member of the fight on violence against women . He now has devoted his efforts to Oasis Women's Shelter in the fight against domestic violence . His plan is to take this fight against violence to all prisons in the state .Derek is a shining example that inmates can rise from their mistakes and be transformed into a productive citizen in the community. He has now become an inspiration to his son Derek, Jr. and to all of his family and friends .So we ask that he be released back into society as we believe the time he has served is sufficient .
