Dawley Road, Lawley Village is a 30mph limit... please enforce this before someone gets killed!

Dawley Road is a 30MPH limit but turns into a 50MPH limit around 15yards from the new residential area. Most traffic ignors the change in speed and continues through at 50MPH (including buses and taxi's). Many children and members of the local community cross this road daily on route to Lawley Primary School, St Johns Church, the church hall, local shops, woodlands and play areas. We feel that as the use of the road has changed and there are now exits from the new residential area's leading on to the road, the speed limit needs to be adjusted to 30MPH from much further away. We also feel a pelican crossing and traffic calming measures would ensure the safety of children crossing the road.
