There should be mid terms and finals in public schools from Grade 1

The Ontario public Schools are below average as compared to the rest of the world . Most of the times kids are engaged in art and music no special attention is payed to other subjects. There are no mid terms.. no finals and kids are promoted to the next level till they reach high school once there not every child can take the pressure of exams and we see a lot of drop outs. The report card is based on all year round activities and homework. It’s a very weak system and needs to be changed for the betterment of our kids. We need to have mid terms and finals in all grades so that the kids know their areas of development and they get into the habit of giving tests.
