Oh Shyzza!
I had to watch my baby girl suffer for a whole week because her vet at Greylock Animal Hosoital in North Adams, MA refused to see her due to lack of funds. Vets need to be more compassionate and see their patients when they need to be seen not only when money is available. Refusing services due to lack of funds is cruel and abusive and it needs to be stopped!
I am on SSI, which means what little money I do get only comes at the begining of the month. My baby girl Shyzza is a ferret, she came down with Adrenal Desease in the middle of the month. Greylock Animal Hospital is our family's regular vet service and I am a client in good standing. Shyzza was turned away because I could not pay for services right then and there. Adrenal Desease comes from being spayed/nutered and is a life threatening issue. I had to watch my little girl suffer for a whole week before a kind person from the care2.com network advanced me the cash. It literally saved her life! Vets refusing service is inhumane and needs to stop. Please help me tell our president to change this practice. No ammount of money is worth the life of a beloved family member.
