Safe Walk to School: Help Us Get a Crosswalk!

The students at Blackburn Alternative High School Program, with the help of UNO's Service Learning Academy, are on a mission to convince Omaha's Community Planning Council to install a crosswalk in front of the school.  The school is located on Hamilton Street between 24th Street and Highway 75.  It is estimated that more than 3,462 cars drive this route during the hours students are present, and we would like to make it a safer place for fellow students and community members.
