Demand the South African National Lotteries Commission reverse their decision to exclude Animal Welfare Organisations as part of its recipients

Animal welfare organisations in South Africa are operating under severe financial constraints, relying on donations from the public and to a great extent Grants from the National Lottery. However in a recent communication addressed to Marcelle Meredith, the NSPCA's Executive Director, Grants Operation Support on the National Lotteries Commission, indicated the Animal Welfare Organisations would be excluded from receiving the finding. This decision will have a devastating effect on both welfare Organisations and the poor, marginalised communities. The National Lottery Commission is urged to reconsider this decision as ultimately harm those in greatest need.
