Make clearcutting illegal

clear cutting is the destructive unsustainable practice of clearing forests of all trees in order to produce more product and yield more profits for timber corporations.  This destroys the lives of millions of animals, birds, reptiles, and amphibains,  It also creats situations for massive landslide which kill hundreds of people and creats pollution and sediment runoff that pollutes our rivers and our oceans.  The forest never really grows back and if it does beat those odds, then it will eventually choke itself out and die.  Some of these corporations say that they replant trees.  do not believe the hype.  They only plant certain trees that they want to harvest, which eliminates any biodiversity and creats a bigger threat for wild fires.  In fact some companies and the forestry service often say that by clearcutting they reduce the risk of big wild fires.  but since they reduce the numbers of bigger tress and the old natural biodiversity it actually creats bigger and more intense wildfires then would have happened naturally.

We can tell them to stop raping our natural lands and if we speak out then our kids and grandkids might just be able to experience and enjoy our natural environment.  if we dont stop them then we all will suffer immensely
