We, the undersigned, implore the enlightenment and common sense in you to become involved in the matter of the excess sludge of Greece intended for shipping to Sudan where it is to be processed and disposed of, which was raised newly by the international media.
We wonder why poor nations always must be subjected to degradation by the greed and ambitions of rich nations.
Do we have not a right equal to theirs to a life of dignity, health and well-being?
Do our future generations and we have not the least right to live in peace without being immorally deprived of such rights?
We strongly reject having the land of Sudan become a landfill for Greek or any foreign waste, to preserve the land for our sake and for the sake of future generations.
Therefore, we call upon you to fulfill your humanitarian duty of pursuing all means possible to prevent this immoral act of inhumanity.
Say no to foreign waste burial in Sudan!
