Stop TV Show's Wolf Killing "Fun"

A reality TV show -- "On Your Own Adventures" with Randy Newberg -- just broadcast two shows on the killing of a wolf in Montana.

This is the first televised wolf hunt in the lower 48 states, and billed itself as a show that "tackles the issue of wolf management head-on." Yet, no wildlife biologists were on the show nor was there any mention of the wolves' ecological value to the landscape or their long path to recovery.

Instead, the gleeful host crows, "It's the funnest thing I've done in years," after shooting the wolf with a high-powered rifle. Plus, the host/wolf killer calls wolf advocates "a bunch of wingnut screwballs" for trying to save the wolves. Apparently, in the world of reality TV, basic humaneness earns you screwball status.

Please -- help us save these wolves by sending an urgent message now to the producers that this is unacceptable, and then share with all your friends.
Subject: Pull the wolf-killing episodes of "On Your Own Adventures"

Dear Warm Springs Productions,

I'm writing in response to two recent episodes of the "On Your Own Adventures" show with Randy Newberg that showed wolves being shot in Montana. I am dismayed that the show chose to present an extremely biased, pro-wolf-killing message. As a show that apparently billed itself as tackling "the issue of wolf management head-on," it was a disservice to the viewers and the wolves to broadcast the killing of wolves and verbal attacks on wolf defenders. I urge you to pull the show from the air immediately, not show these episodes again and never in the future broadcast the killing of wolves and verbal attacks on wolf defenders.
