Please sign this PETITION to DEMAND EVERY FOOD PRODUCT SOLD IN THE U.S.A. AND AMERICAN CONSUMERS HAVE LABELS CLEARLY PRINTED WITH "MADE IN (country manufactured in)" ON THE LABEL.
Ex: MADE IN THE U.S.A. on the label. MADE IN CHINA and so on.
The Coronavirus Pandemic has made it even more imperative that we, as consumers, know exactly where the products we eat and drink are coming from. It is a HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE and we have a RIGHT TO FULL DISCLOSURE to make INFORMED DECISIONS on our purchases. Other countries do not have the strict guidelines the FDA holds products to that are manufactured in the U.S.A.
Many product labels in our stores have only "Distributed by" and no longer have "Made in" printed on the label. A serious injustice is going on here. As the consumers of these products a law needs to be passed that once again requires "Made In" be printed on our food product labels.
Distributed By does not mean it is made in this country. We need the label to clearly state where the product was manufactured. We have empty shelves in our stores. Those products plus many others are products that are now manufactured in China and other countries then shipped here to be distributed. Countries with open meat/live animal markets are manufacturing our food and the label only has Distributed by.
When we make our goal the petition will be sent to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the Manufacturing, Trade, and Consumer Protection Subcommittee and Directors of Health and Human Services and the FDA. Senator's.
