Azumanga Daioh Continuation
Azumanga Daioh is a Japanese anime starring six main characters; Yomi, Sakaki, Tomo, Kagura, Osaka, and Chiyo-chan. The anime follows them and their humorous antics through out their high-school career, with each encountering hardships and joys. Sadly, this amazingly funny and popular series only has 26 episodes (plus an extremely short epilogue and preview) and four manga books! Many people feel that this is enough, promoting the fact, "It ends with them finishing high school! What's next?" Yes, it does end with them finishing high school, but three years of school were crammed into 26 episodes/four books, there is certainly some more to the story than meets the eye! There could be so much more added here! Why settle for sub-par fan-fics? Why not have a second season, where we find out all about Tomo and Yomi's newest argument that we missed in-between episodes seven and eight? Are we never going to figure out why Sakaki had a brand new bite on her hand during the break of episode's twelve and thirteen? What about the bonkler's (numbnuts, team idiot's) newest ideas that no-one ever saw after episode twenty three? Maybe it would be to hard to add a second season, adding new details to the first season's episodes, but there could be Azumanga OVA's! A few hour long segments, replaying all the 26 episodes in a different light, showing what happened before or after each show, and adding more clarity the people we already have grown to love! The point is, there is still much left to this story, so no, it should not be extended, just expanded. Please sign this petition, you know deep down you want to hear, "31%! 36%! 42%!", just one more time!
We the undersigned, beleive that there should be a continuation to Azumanga Daioh. 26 episodes is just simply not enough! There is so much more to the story, and we need your help to figure out what that is! There is an overabundance of fan created stories, pictures, and anime music video's of Azumanga Daioh! Why? Becuase the people want more! We all loved the first season! Now it's time to hear about what happened in-between. So much time elapsed between and during the episode's, that surely there is some way you can create more for your loyal fans? What we want, no, what we NEED, is another season, some original video animation (OVA), another manga, or something like that! Please consider this, as there are many people awaiting the release of more Azumanga Daioh! Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Please continue your amazing work!
