Keep Isaac Cascante Around

Higgs, Carter, King (HCK) Gifted and Talented Charter Academy is entering its 7th year as a Texas Education Agency Charter School. We believe that all children have gifts and talents. We do not test for giftedness. We assess students current ability levels and agree to "ensure its student success" by doing "whatever it takes" to meet the needs of each individual student. We encourage and require parents to be actively involved in the learning environment by helping their children with homework, by communicating as often as necessary with the teacher regarding the child and by participating in all parental involvement activities held at the school.

During many of HCK's seven year existence, Isaac Cascante has significantly contributed to its vision.  He has been very instrumental in educating elementary students, significantly improving their grades and test scores.  He has exceptionally improved parent participation with his students, which has had a residual effect on all HCK students.  Isaac has served well as a HCK mentor, developing lesson plans, guides and tools to aid in the Education process.  Additionally, he has participated in and conducted Educational workshops that have benefited his HCK colleagues and Administrators.

Personally, Isaac is a very diligent and inspiring man.  He is truly dedicated to giving his time and compassion to others.  He has served as a mentor in community support groups, churches, and independently.  Isaac has the ability to inspire those who he encounters.

Within a few weeks, Isaac Cascante may be required to leave the United States, and will no longer be able to legally work in the US.  If this were to happen, it would be very challenging for HCK, Colleagues, Parents, Students, Family and Friends.

Please sign this petition to show your support for requesting that Isaac Cascante's US Work Visa be extended for at least 1 additional year.

In a few weeks, Isaac Cascante may be forced to relocate back to Costa Rica, and will not be allowed to work in the United States.  He has reached a 6 year limit on his work visa, though he did not work for several months, due to the Summer break during the school year.

We would like to have Immigration consider giving Isaac credit for the Summer months he did not work.  This would allow him to continue serving Higgs, Carter, King Academy, his church, and community for at least an additional year.

Please sign the petition immediately to show your support.  There is very little time remaining to seek this consideration.

Very Warm Regards,
