Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich used a violent phrase against Barack Obama while at a town hall event in Florence, South Carolina.
A supporter of Gingrich was discussing how Gingrich mentioned challenging Obama to seven three-hour debates, and said "We've got to bloody Obama's nose". He asked Gingrich what he was going to do if Obama didn't agree to that. Gingrich said "I don't want to bloody his nose, I want to knock him out."
This language is never appropriate, but especially not coming from someone who is a presidential candidate and is running to represent the United States of America.
