Ban Thru Truck Traffic on Catharpin Road  

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is considering imposing a ban on all through truck traffic on Catharpin Road.  This road, in its present configuration and engineering profile, is a dangerous roadway for trucks and is an enormous safety hazard for drivers on the road even without large trucks.

The undersigned Oak Valley homeowners strongly urge VDOT to impose the ban on through trucks and protect the safety of drivers who need to use this road to access their homes.

We the undersigned strongly support the ban on thru truck traffic on Catharpin Road in Gainesville, Virginia.  The road, as it is currently engineered, is a safety hazard for every driver and any truck on Catharpin Road increases the safety risk for drivers.
