BMW NA must replace our ABS Modules

This is in response to the Bosch ABS module controller that is in the 1999 BMW 5 series model.  We should not have to pay over $1,000.00 to repair a module where there is a known issue. This problem was resolved by BMW in later model cars by moving the location where the module resides.

This is a faulty part that should be replaced by Bosch and BMW at little or no cost to the owner.

To whom it may concern;

We the undersigned enthusiastic BMW owners request BMW North America work with us to resolve the issues we are faced with in relation to the 5-series models and the problems with our ABS modules.  We fully understand that the issue of having the module in the engine area wears on the part and that BMW has moved the module to reside in more protective areas in future models.

For your dealers to charge us $1000 or more for a simple replacement of the module is offensive to us all.  We have always regarded BMW as a higher standard automobile and company than any other. This is way most of us are loyal customers and have purchased several BMWs in the past.

We ask your assistance in allowing us to believe you are the quality company that stands behind its cars that we have all grown to know and truely enjoy.

Kind Regards;
