Here's our poor babies story. (full story and pictures of "supposed bites" and incident reports found on the face book page called http://www.facebook.com/pages/Save-Champ-Our-Pitt-Bull/235668606523972?sk=info

Thursday was a rainy day (our dogs are inside dogs any ways) but I had to let them out to pee. I put Champ (our pitt) and jewels (our lab) out on tie downs for them to potty. I came back in the house for a few minutes to try and do some
laundry. While I was inside, all hell breaks loose.

Champ got stuck on a tree limb (we are doing yard work and his tie down was near the pile) and he chewed through his collar. He got loose.

When my lab started barking like crazy I ran out back and saw he was loose and yelled for him and he came around the corner of the house in 2 seconds literally 2 seconds. I put Champ back in the house and walked back out side to go over and see how he got loose.

I walked over to his tie down to see his collar on the ground and that he chewed it apart.

As I walked over a neighbor was in my yard and yelled at me "is that your dog" and I said yes, and he goes off that dog is lucky he isn't dead, he bit me and he bit my neighbors kid. I told him oh please, he didn't bite you he wouldn't of. He goes oh yeah, look, and showed me his leg. Where there was a bite mark. When I proceeded to the front yard he was yelling at me that he attacked a child. I told him he would never attack a child. He said go ahead don't believe me animal control will deal with you when they get here and that dog because he attacked a child and tried to attack my family. He then proceeded to tell me he had a loaded gun in his back pocket and he was going to put a bullet in our dog."

I went back inside and told my husband what was going on (on the phone he was at work). Animal control got here and came up to me and told me he wanted to see the dog. I told him that I could not let him in my house, that when someone else got here, then they could go in. He proceeded to tell me if I did not let him in the house I would be arrested for not doing what he said. I told him "Sir, your black, dogs see in black and white and our dogs don't like it, and I went to say our dog was abused by a black man and does not like black people because of it." But before I even got it out, he threw his hands in the air and said "OH IM BLACK" and walked away. (Which by the way I apologized to him for the way it came out, with all the arguing I could of stated it better but he kept pushing to get in my house and I wasn't letting him)

The neighbors kept yelling and yelling and the police officer and other animal control officer got here and then we spoke to them. We did not believe that our dog would or could attack a child. Champ is so protective of children and would never purposely harm a child. HE WOULD NEVER HARM A CHILD.

Well as the stories proceeded on, which you can see them all, the man who got bit (was in our yard when he got bit) and the stories from all 3 adults and the child involved are all inaccurate and non of them make sense. (You will find all those in the album titled "the lies")

Now, I have received all these documents from the animal control office and now that I have actually read the child's story I am more conflicted than before because NOT ONE OF THEM TOLD THE TRUTH FOR ANYTHING.

Thursday night they came in our home, and Champ played with them, licking them and was completely fine. THEY TOOK HIM FROM OUR HOME. He is in the shelter. He is LOCKED IN A CAGE WITH LITTLE ROOM, HE IS NOT EATING, HE LOOKS LIKE HE HAS NOT ATE SINCE HE LEFT OUR HOME. He is being tortured, he has never been locked up before. They refuse to let me see him like they promised me while they were here. I did get to see him today and he looks terrible. His spirit is crushed. And there was throw up on the ground. The animal shelter then said that "it was pee" I told them no it is not pee, that is throw up look at the mucus. And they admitted it was throw up. Now they told me he ate this morning, well he did not, because if he did eat there would of been food in his throw up.
We the undersigned want to bring to your attention after reading Champ - the pitt bulls story, seeing the images and the reports feel that this Pitt Bull has been done a sincere injustice. He should be home with his loving family, instead he is locked up. The statements provided from the "victims" do not match each others. The images do not look like "bites." We feel that you are discriminating this animal because of his breed! We also feel that this animal is in harms way not being at his home. Thank you for your time and for reading this letter.
