We the undersigned have taken it upon ourselves to bring to your attention the human rights abuses that Israel commits everyday as well as the horrendous violations of humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions and the UN Convention on the Punishment and Suppression of the Crime of Apartheid. Israel's Treatment of the Palestinians as well as it's policies constitute the qualifications of an Apartheid State. The first objective of this petition is to get the countries of the European Union to recognize Israel as an Apartheid state. according to the UN Convention on Apartheid, the following Actions constitute the crime of Apartheid
Denial of the right to life and liberty;
%u2022 Imposition of living conditions calculated to cause
physical destruction in whole or in part;
%u2022 Creation of conditions preventing full development,
in particular by denying basic human rights and
freedoms, including
- the right to work,
- the right to education,
- the right to leave and to return to their country,
- the right to a nationality,
- the right to freedom of movement and residence,
%u2022 Any measures designed to divide the population
along racial lines by
- the creation of separate reserves and ghettos for
the members of a racial group or groups,
- the prohibition of mixed marriages among
members of various racial groups,
- the expropriation of landed property belonging to
a racial group or groups or to members thereof.
Israel is guilty of all these crimes and is therefore an Apartheid State. The second objective of this petition is to get the countries of the European Union to begin a campaign of Boycotts, Divestments and Sanctions against Israel until Israel abides by international law and withdraws from the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
