Why this petition....
God gave me an idea for a book.
I quit my job one summer and used my refund check from my grad school loans to pay my rent and bills for the summer.
I gave my book proposal to a mentor who said that it was one of the best book proposals he has read. This person has been in the literary game for a while.
He shopped it, but no publishers nor agents wanted to take a chance on this unknown woman with this motivational talk. I informed my mentor I was going to get a petition signed and he said he would approach them again at that time.
Many have told me to self-publish. But when God gives you an idea you can not half step.
Are there many that think this can not be done? Certainly.
One big name speaker and author that I met said to me with confidence, no one will publish this book and no one wants to be motivated. This is directly from a big name motivational speaker!!! Then he says to me but your smile works. ( talk about condescending)
I know this is going to work already because too many have said it can not happen. This book can do nothing but help humanity tremendously.
But it can not happen without your help.

There is a new generation of inspirational writers being ignored because their passion is just that.... writing to inspire. Not to gossip or back bite, but to inspire.
Take a chance on a new idea or concept, such as "Don't Step In Quicksand" and a new author, Meagan McLeod. Wayne Dyer and Depek Chopra were new once. Don't be the one to miss out on the opportunity to sign this up and coming speaker and author.
