How many miles could we drive on the Alcohol we drink??? Annually in the UK we drink enough alcohol* per capita to drive a 20MPG Ethanol (alcohol) powered car 2.25 billion miles! Yes, 2.25 billion miles! It is only one car (& a lot of very pissed off sober Brits), but even still that is equivalent of powering 321, 328 ethanol powered cars in the UK for whole year, a sobering thought!
In the USA enough alcohol is knocked back by its citizens per capita to drive a 20MPG ethanol powered car 6.75 billion miles or enough ethanol fuel to power 964, 285 cars in the UK every year.
