Over the course of 2009, over 150 musicians and artists from around the globe such as Weezer, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Mike Love of The Beach Boys, Collective Soul, David Coverdale of Whitesnake and Filmmaker Bryan Singer came together to create an amazing holiday album to help raise funds for research for a cure for Type 1 (Juvenile) Diabetes. Currently, the album is available online and at some stores, but we need this album to hit the big stores like WalMart and Target. With your signing of this petition...we can show these companies that this is something that people would love to support.

Currently, the album is available online and at some stores, but we need this album to to become available to as many consumers as possible in order to make an impact on both the awareness and financial fronts.
Type 1 Diabetes affects hundreds of children around the world every year. There is nothing that can be done to prevent contracting the disease, and currently, there is no functional cure. Children with Type 1 Diabetes endure finger pricks for blood sugar tests every few hours (day and night) as well as 7-10 insulin shots per day JUST TO STAY ALIVE! The lives of families dealing with Type 1 Diabetes are changed forever.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is committed to raising funds and awareness to help find a cure for this terrible disease. This album, JDRF Hope for the Holidays is a compilation of over 20 Holiday songs in ways you've never heard them before.
Your support of this project would be enormously appreciated. As more time goes by, more children fall victim to this dreadful disease. With your help, a cure could be available within just the next few years.
