"We urge the United Nations, through its security council apparatus, to establish a UN sanctioned task force solely dedicated to ensuring that the basic human needs of every child are met;

Further, we urge:

That the United Nations take every action necessary in partnership with other non-governmental organizations, such as IUNICEF, to significantly lower the number of children that die every day, currently at 25,000 per-day;

Among the policies this task force would promote, we urge establishment of mobilized birth registration units. We urge immediate removal of fees or penalties associated with registering children in their native land. And we urge house to house delivery of nourishment and basic immunizations. 

We believe that supporting this petition is consistent and in keeping with Article 4 of UDHR General Assembly stating, "No one shall be held in slavery and slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms." 

We know that when basic human needs are met the need for slavery is dissipated, this applies especially to children whose parents feel they have no other option then selling them into slavery a s a means to have once less mouth to feed.  Given all the resources, technology, and know-how our governments have at their disposal, it is unconscionable that we not work to achieve these goals. The developed countries need to give more in ways of technology, expertise, as well as financial aid in order to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger among children.
