If Frito-Lay and PepsiCo want to pride themselves as a consumer-friendly company who is concerned they should consider pricing their products to reward consumers for being health conscious. As someone of limited means, I am forever torn between buying a healthy snack at $4 a bag instead of the unhealthy equivalent, which is typically 1/4 of the price. Why should those with less means have to resign themselves to buying your less healthful products?

In general, I think making healthy decisions should come with benefits. We cannot chide consumers for buying fast food (and other cheap but poor quality products) if we as a society are unwilling to provide affordable alternatives.

I propose Frito-Lay take initiative and act as a beacon for others.

Please sign this petition to send the word to Mark Schiller, Senior Vice President of New Ventures with Frito-Lay North America, that we deserve the right to make healthy decisions without the anxiety of weighing the value of our health with the depth of our pocketbook.
