PETITION TO OPEN FEDERALLY OWNED LANDS

To my fellow Americans,

Despite our governments desperate attempts to hide the truth from its people, you already know of the grave times we%u2019re living in due to the catastrophic oil spill.

You know the millions of gallons of crude oil did NOT just disappear over night!  They %u201Cdispersed it%u201D or should I more properly say %u201Csank%u201D it along with soon to be everything living creature in it, to the bottom of the ocean floor. But in this case, what you can%u2019t see, IS Deadly!

The significantly and never before documented, elevated levels of methane causing a massive depletion of oxygen potentially causing the entire Gulf of Mexico to become %u2018Dead Zones%u2019 which will be unable to support any form of life.

Additionally, the millions of gallons of dispersants used to disguise the oil spill is killing everything in its path from the bottom of the ocean floor up.  The marine life is still dying and will continue to do so thanks to our government and BP%u2019s continued use of Corexit! 

Unfortunately the Angel of Death isn%u2019t going to stop in the ocean%u2026 he%u2019s going to continue right up through the birds via the fish they eat, the water they drink, etc. etc. etc.  Without a food source, how are the birds and gulls going to survive?

Are you heartsick, disgusted or angry but feel there%u2019s nothing you can do?

You Can Help by signing this Petition and Demanding our government to open all federally owned Wildlife Sanctuaries, Preserves & Refuges to any and all animals effected that could be supported by the already Federally Owned properties.

It%u2019s true that some conversationalists and obviously our own government agencies believe that leaving the animals to die right where they are is OK! 

 
This is NOAA's 'plan of protection' for the dolphins. I pray you%u2019ll agree the current strategy is NOT OKAY!

Ask yourself this, if your relatives and friends were dying and you could save their life by taking them to a safe environment you already own, wouldn%u2019t you choose to do so?

Now, don%u2019t you think the herrings, turtles, dolphins and birds would do the same for their friends & relatives?  Even if it meant risking the possibility of a short lived illness for themselves.

I%u2019m not a marine biologist or rocket scientist, but I know many of the over 400 animal species that inhabit the Gulf of Mexico, could and should be supported by the lands we, as Americans, already pay enormous amount of tax dollars to support.

In 1 day, I was able to secure a home for at least 3 herrings and 6 ducks.  Starting Monday, August 2nd, I will begin contacting every federally & privately owned preserve I can find and local businesses that I feel may be able/willing to help, and asking them what type of species and how many they can safely bring into their preserves.

PLEASE Stand Up for the voiceless and innocent animals by signing this petition.

By doing so you%u2019ll be

Ø      Telling our President and his administrative staff that we DEMAND CHANGE!!!

Ø      Demanding our President to sign an Executive Order allowing the relocation of the animals & mammals who%u2019s lives have been or will be effected by BP%u2019s devastating oil spill. This rescue mission will be organized through a non-governmental agency, and publicly supported non-profit animal rescue & welfare organization by the name of Destiny%u2019s Rescue.  Destiny%u2019s Rescue was incorporated into a 501c3 non-profit organization in October 2004. And yes, many volunteers are needed to carry out this Rescue Mission!

Ø      Encouraging the federal preserves and sanctuaries to open up their gates and welcome their neighbors from the south that have been or will be effected by the oil spill, and will surely face death if left alone where they are.

Ø      And maybe most importantly, you%u2019ll be telling the voiceless and innocent animals that you do love them and truly do care about their lives%u2026
