SAVE DELAWARE'S PARKS AND WILDLIFE AREAS.
Dear Honorable State Officials,
Please Support and vote "yes" for House Bill 30 to save our State parks and wildlife areas from being used as cheap disposal areas.
WE SUPPORT HOUSE BILL # 30 to SAVE OUR PUBLIC PARKLANDS, FORESTS & WILDLIFE AREAS.
- BACKGROUND
- State parks, fish & wildlife areas, state forests & historical properties are acquired for conservation & recreational purposes;
- The public has supported the acquisition of these properties
- Any diverted use of these lands for other purposes that may degrade these lands & impact public access to these lands may be proposed
- These lands are being considered by developers, municipalities & their consultants as a cheap source of land for the application of wastewater.
House Bill 30 expressly prohibits the application and/or injection of wastewater or treated wastewater or disposal of bio-solids and/or sludge from sewage treatment facilities onto these public lands.
