Save Our Ancestors - Stop The Digging Of Ancestral Burials At Kawaiaha`o Church

Kawaiaha`o Church in Honolulu has been digging up the bones of Hawaiians buried in the Kawaiaha`o Church cemetery so they can build a new social hall.

This is the ultimate insult in the Hawaiian culture.

How would you like your family bones to be dug up?

We demand that you stop forever the unearthing of those buried in your cemetery just so you can build a new social hall.

We also demand you consult with the families of those remains to gain their permission and input first.

Digging up the bones of Hawaiians is the ultimate insult in the Hawaiian culture.

Please do not disturb or further desecrate the remains of those buried in your own cemetery.
