Boycott WINNERS and tell them to stop keeping the fur industry in business.

It's no secret that the Chinese fur trade is one of the most brutal and inhumane attrocities that takes place in the world on a daily basis. And many westerners are ignorantly (or maybe not so ignorantly) supporting the trade by buying products which contain fur from dogs, cats, raccoons, foxes, and other animals -- all the result of this horrible and brutal slaughter. WINNERS is one of the stores keeping this brutal industry alive by selling products containing fur. Despite the protests of a few of us, the response we have gotten is "at this time, we still offer products with fur to our customers. As a retailer with a diverse clientele, we make every attempt to understand and satisfy the needs and concerns of all of our customers."
We feel that the vast majority of Canadians don't need fur clothing to satisfy their needs and that the only reason why WINNERS is not ready to abandon their unethical business practices at this time is because most consumers are unaware of what they are purchasing and thereby supporting. Now that you have been made aware, we ask you to become an ethically-conscious consumer by demanding ethical and humane business from the places you shop.
We kindly ask you to take a moment to read, sign, and spread the word about this petition. Our voices will only be heard until there are enough of us to make a bigger impact. We, the undersigned, respectfully appeal to your company to immediately stop the sale of all products containing fur and the removal of all such products from your stores.
As you have been made aware of, the production of fur is a barbaric and inhumane industry, particularly in Asian countries such as China where torturous transportation, brutal killing methods, and skinning alive of animals, including but not limited to cats and dogs, are common and acceptable. You have been made aware of the fact that selling products containing fur makes WINNERS an active participant in the chain of fur production, thus condoning and supporting this abhorrent practice that is absolutely unacceptable to us as consumers and as humans.
We pledge to never shop at WINNERS until an all-out ban of fur products is in effect in your stores and we will invite everyone to participate in this boycott. We will continue to spread awareness of this matter because we believe that the majority of those who are made aware of WINNERS' support of the fur industry will find it objectionable, unethical and support a boycott.
We invite WINNERS to put conscience above profits and to set a standard for the Canadian clothing industry by requiring more of itself in regards to ethical responsibility. We look forward to the day when we, as consumers, can shop at WINNERS knowing confidently that we are not supporting cruelty behind the scenes.
