How many of you have ever eaten a Starburst? or a Milky Way? or a Snickers? Good, right? Wrong! Well, maybe the taste is good but what the candy is doing to you and the rainforest-bad!! Palm oil promotes heart disease and can raise cholestrol levels. Also, rainforest land in Indonesia and Malaysia is cleared so that oil palm plantations can be planted. This means the the orangutans and other rainforest animals lose their habitats and food. Orangutans are expected to be extinct by 2012 unless we do something. Masterfoods uses palm oil, we are urging you to sign this petition, pass it on to friends, write letters of dissaproval to them so that your grandkids, and great-grandkids will be able to know what an orangutan is.
We the undersigned would like you to stop using palm oil in your products. Palm oil is bad for your health because it promotes heart disease and raises cholestrol levels. Please consider switching to soybean oil, canola oil, sunflower oil or some other healthier option.
