Stop the persecution of Christian minorities in Iraq

The UN High Commission for Refugees reports that Christians make 44% of Iraqi refugees, even though only 4% of the Iraqi population is Christian.
Christians were slightly tolerated during Saddam Hussein's regime. But since the war and occupation began (as a small minority without armed forces of their own) Iraqi Christians have been persecuted by both Shia and Sunni Muslim militias, and also by criminal gangs.
- The persecution must stop
- A safe zone needs to be established for the Christian minorities in Iraq
- The world (especially the US) must recognize this problem and do something to prevent the extintion of one of Iraq's oldest communities
