After Founder's Brewery changed the beneficiary of a local fashion show from Planned Parenthood of Grand Rapids to a "less political" food pantry we wish to remind them of the outstanding need for women's health services in a economic environment that requires Planned Parenthood's assistance more than ever. This is not an issue of politics, if Founder's wanted to really serve its customers it would have taken into account the ideals of all its patrons not only those wanting to speak out against abortion (a service the Grand Rapids location does not provide). Please show your support to keep this injustice from reoccuring and Planned Parenthood's doors open.

This Planned Parenthood location is one provides necessary health care services to over 19,000 underprivileged women a year and is not a facility that offers abortions, thus deserves the same assistance as any other health care facility regardless of personal political association.
It is unfortunate that your business denied this worthy organization the chance to raise funds via a fundraiser held at your location this past September. We hope that in the future you will commit to supporting a wide range of organizations and will refrain from citing politics as an excuse for denying promises made to your customers and your community.
