Texas: Don't Abandon Women in Need!

Texas Health and Human Services Commissioner Tom Suehs just signed a rule that formally bans Planned Parenthood clinics and other "affiliates of abortion providers" from participating in the Texas Women's Health program.

This decision will not only prevent women from accessing health care through such clinics, but will also make Texas ineligible for the state-federal Medicaid program, which provides preventative health care to more than 100,000 Texas women.

Unless the rule is repealed, the Women's Health Program will be phased out or cut off by the end of March. At least 130,000 poor Texas women will lose access to cancer screenings, wellness exams, and contraception.

Politics shouldn't interfere with women's access to health care. Act now to tell Commissioner Suehs to repeal the rule, which jeopardizes the health of low-income women in Texas.
We the undersigned call on you to repeal the rule that formally bans Planned Parenthood clinics and other "affiliates of abortion providers" from participating in the Texas Women's Health program.

The rule not only prevents women from accessing health care through clinics like Planned Parenthood, but also makes Texas ineligible for the state-federal Medicaid program, which provides preventative health care to more than 100,000 Texas women.

Unless the rule is repealed, the Women's Health Program will lose its funding, leaving at least 130,000 poor Texas women without access to cancer screenings, wellness exams, and contraception.

We therefore urge you to repeal the rule, which jeopardizes the health of low-income women in Texas. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
