I was so inspired how my brother Sedreck Fields kept going in his career as a professional
Boxer that I wanted to name my business after him. I started the Sedreck Fields Foundation
6 months later. It%u2019s now fall of 2008 I wanted to write a book on how this organization got
Started. This organization is target to helping only women with children. I have over 14
Service and programs plus a family food pantry for the women and children in our community.
Well almost 10 years later this organization is running on faith and prayer only. No government
Grant or funding at all. I have contacted over 100 corporate companies for funding and applied
For over a dozen grants every one said no. This was the organization no one wanted to support
With funding. After I was rejected from the case foundation in 2007. I was going to publish
my book about the heartache and struggle of a non-profit business. Well I send my book to a huge
Publishing company in the summer of 2008 called publish America. And even they rejected my manuscript. I had no funding Or money to pay thousands of dollars to have my book publish. A writer from 1st book publishing Company to me I could publish the book myself from start to finish using the lulu software. I went to lulu.com one week later and started publishing this book. New computer s, copier, printer for the business. I will be joining my local united way, Food pantry
And chamber of commerce with the money from my book signings. This book will encourage any
