The Crimes of Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, Hate Crimes and Terrorism against Indigenous children, their families, their communities and their Nations continued for a 150 years of Canada's existence as a country and well into the 80's and 90's. Many of the perpetrators of those genocidal crimes are still among us. Canada is obligated to apply the same standards to those crimes as it does to the same crimes and criminals in other countries around the globe. Canada is a signatory to all international bodies, conventions organizations etc. which have the obligation to investigate such crimes anywhere in the world. Canada is not exempt from such investigations. Our Indigenous children, their families, their communities and their Nations do not need any cheap and often disingenuous apologies and the worthless, useless and idiotic " our thoughts and prayers are with you " nonsense. They need justice the same as any other member of our society would demand and expect. If non-Indigenous Canadians were victimized in the same or similar ways they would never settle for some cheap and worthless apologies or prayers
