Save Vance Birthplace

Governor McCrory's proposed budget includes the closure of the Zebulon Baird Vance birthplace in Reem's Creek, NC. Vance was the Governor of NC at the outset of the American Civil War. This historic site is a local treasure that takes visitors back in time to the homestead of the Vance family of the 19th Century Rural South. This site is a historic, educational and vital part of NC history. We petition you, Mr. Governor, to keep this valuable piece of Western North Carolina History alive.
