Chris Howarth has been the pillar of Uckfield Community and Uckfield Comprehensive School for many years. Many of us have known him as a pupil, a friend or 'Uckfieldian'. The accusations made against him by 2 individuals are so out of character of the man many of us revere. He has supported 1000s of people during his career and life. I knew Chris Howarth as a young person during the 1980s. He was the most amazing mentor I have ever had. Chris is an incredibly caring, compassionate and an amazingly decent man.
As we struggle to believe the accusations made against him, it feels right that we collectively support him. Please register your support for a man who has supported so many of us by signing the ‘Support Chris Howarth’ petition. It formalises for Chris and his legal team (in an independent way) how we feel about him and the accusations and what many of us have expressed on facebook.
