Petition to show support for increased security measures at United Local Schools

PETITION TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR INCREASED SECURITY MEASURES AT UNITED LOCAL SCHOOLS
We the undersigned:
1. Fully support the hiring of MULTIPLE full-time, fully-trained, ARMED resource/security professionals whose sole function is the protection of United Local Schools.
2. Fully support the hiring of a full-time mental health counselor to provide mental health services to all of our children and work together with other school officials to prevent school violence before it happens.
3. Fully support the implementation of structural security measures including, but not limited to securing the school’s perimeter, the installation of reinforced doors and locks for entrances/exits existing at both the school’s perimeters and classrooms, metal detectors, and other physical barriers.
4. Fully support the arming of school personnel with NON-LETHAL weapons.
5. ARE NOT AGAINST HAVING GUNS IN SCHOOLS (see #1), however we DO NOT SUPPORT ARMING CLASSROOM TEACHERS (ON THEIR PERSON) OR THOSE IN DIRECT SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN.
6. Fully support holding PUBLIC FORUMS through which the community can be a part of the decision-making process as the decision to arm classroom teachers was fully made WITHOUT COMMUNITY INPUT.
