Rename Sepulveda Middle School.

Whereas Francisco Xavier Sepulveda was a Mexican colonial soldier, settler, and patriarch of the prominent Spanish-Mexican Sepulveda family in the early days of Southern California,

and whereas he and his descendants enslaved and slaughtered countless Native Americans,

and whereas there is a middle school in the Los Angeles community of North Hills named in his honor;

therefore, we the undersigned hereby request that the Los Angeles Unified School District rename this school so that it will no longer honor a family that committed slavery and genocide.
