American students are falling behind!
The American educational system is far too important to ignore. More needs to be done to realign the standards, commit money and train our educators in ways to teach our students for the future. Enough falling behind the rest of the world; let us replace our egos with a system that is focused on leadership, relevance and rigor.
We the teachers, parents and citizens of this country are writing to inform you that we are frustrated with the educational system as it sits today. After years of falling behind many other countries in academic achievement it has become clear that our present system does not work. Please refocus the attention back to our future by realigning the standards, adding both rigor and relevance into our American educational system. The educators need training and the schools need the technology to compete with the rest of the globe. Please stop the siphoning of funds from education and make it clear that we are ready to develop our future leaders inside a school system that is focused on excellence.
