Protect our children Renew the Adam Walsh Law
In 1981 a 6 year old boy named Adam Walsh was kidnapped and decapitated. He would be 34 years old today. Only within the past year was his killer discovered. His father John Walsh became a advocate for protecting children all over from suffering the same fate as his son. In 2006 his goal was achieved with the passing of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act which requires all sex offenders to register with a federal database for life. Today that law is in danger of being overturned. Speak Out and say that the right to keep our children safe is of the most importance and to renew the law.
We the undersigned urge you to renew the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.
Everyday on the news you hear of children from all over the country being kidnapped raped and murdered. In 2006 Congress passed and former President George W Bush signed into law the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act. Today it is up for renewal and due to controversy is in danger of not be renewed.
Protecting our children is one of the most important things we can due today. To worry about protecting the rights of those who have already harmed them is unconscionable. Every police organization says that sex offenders CANNOT be cured. As parents we have the right to know who these people are and where they are at so we can take appropriate measures to protect them.
