Proposal to Amend Ordinance 77.02

Summary: A safety concern has been brought to the attention of the Board of Aldermen with a request to change Ordinance 77.02 regarding the usage of All-Terrain Vehicles.

Current Ordinance: Prohibits All-Terrain Vehicles on all "streets OF the city."

Suggested Change: Prohibits All-Terrain Vehicles on all "streets WITHIN the city".

The amendment would impact a portion or all of approximately 15 streets within city-limits which are not owned by the city. Effectively, this change would prohibit ATV's on all private and public streets within the city unless they meet a listed exception (i.e. government or agricultural usage).
