Eliminate the Use And Abuse of Parenting Coordinators in The Family Court System

I am opposing the system in place where family court judges order a Parenting Coordinator as an arm of the court. It is an inappropriate delegation of our judicial system, it restricts access to court, and creates a denial of due process. Parenting Coordinators infringe on parent's First Amendment Right to freedom of speech and association, Fourth and Fifth Amendment privacy rights and the fundamental rights of parents. Many states have already banned parenting coordinators, who have no accountability, or liability. There is also no scientific research that a third party can be impartial, has the skills or knowledge to step into this role as a third party in a family and increase the chances of promoting well being of the family or child. The premise is to lesson court burdens and infact is only increasing court congestion. It is illegal and most proponents of this program, however well intended it may have been initially, know that this is unconstitutional. I am just beginning to to press for legislation that will ban Parenting Coordinators. This is an outrageous attack on parents civil and constitutional rights.
Only Judges should make decisions on child custody cases. Courts should not appoint and other individual to make recommendations or decisions in a child custody case.
