The abundance of poor people have been branded by the judiciary as lawbreakers because they use marijuana. Marijuana has been proven virtually non-lethal, but it is considered a schedule 1 drug - the same category as heroin. Alcohol, which does have a history of causing death by consumption, is a legal drug. If alcohol, and it's proven destructive effects on the body, is legal; then marijuana and it's non-destructive effects on the body (even proven medicinal value) should be categorized as a legal substance.
