Save Taylor Lautner!

Recently I have learned that Summit Entertainment is considering recasting the role of Jacob Black for New Moon. Taylor Lautner, a very talented young actor, portrayed Jacob in the film adaptation of Twilight. He did an outstanding job, and, though his part was small, he was one of the best actors in the film. I am aware that Summit wants to make these changes because Mr. Lautner isn't muscular enough for the role, as Jacob becomes a werewolf in New Moon. However, Taylor Lautner has been trying his very hardest to bulk up to play Jacob, and it would be a shame to put that to waste. Many fans of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, including myself, think every aspect of Taylor is perfect for the role, from his personality offscreen to his face to his acting abilities. We the undersigned believe that Taylor Lautner should be cast as Jacob Black for your upcoming film
New Moon. He was excellent in
Twilight and all the fans were so looking forward to seeing him in the sequel. We understand that you are considering actor Michael Copon for the role, but we think that Mr. Lautner would be a much wiser choice, as he is Jacob's age currently. Mr. Lautner is the perfect Jacob, and no one can imagine anyone else playing him. From a financial perspective, I know many people who are refusing to see
New Moon if Mr. Lautner is not cast. I can see their perspective, but I can also see yours. I know that all of you at Summit think that Mr. Lautner is not muscular enough for the role, but he is doing his best to bulk up for the role of Jacob Black. That said, look at it this way: with the profits you will make if you cast Taylor Lautner, you could spend said money on CG effects to make Mr. Lautner seem even "wolfier." Please consider these points, as
New Moon will only get better with Taylor Lautner playing Jacob Black.
