Please sign this petition to show your support of CJR Memorial Foundation's playground project that will be located in Hawley, PA's Bingham Park
We announced last year that the CJR Memorial Foundation will fund a project to build a children’s playground in our local park to be dedicated in Caleb’s name. This play system will cater to children from 5—12 years of age, and will also be handicapped accessible. A playground that ALL children can enjoy for many years to come, and a project we feel the community will come together to embrace. Play is essential to development because it contributes physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth. Play also offers an ideal opportunity for parents to engage in their children’s lives. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in securing a state matching DCNR Grant that would have helped us meet our goal. For that reason we plan to make this project one of our primary goals for this year and the upcoming years if necessary. With borough approval we will re-apply for the DCNR Grant and will continue to raise other funds needed until we do reach our mark.
