Due to the relationship of the company that provides Cranston Public Schools with lunch and breakfast, students are unable to make purchases from the Coffee Cart. The coffee cart is an amazing chance for special needs students to learn career skills, and have interactions with other students. The coffee cart brings an opportunity for inclusion and integration throughout the school. Through the coffee cart, many friendships have been made with the daily interaction we experience. The coffee cart also raises money to help better the special needs department here at Cranston West. In this, the loss of student revenue will greatly decrease the amount of money raised for the program. To make students unable to interact and make purchases from the coffee cart not only affects current students, but also future students. It will prevent future relationships from being formed, and limit the amount of work experience that the workers of the coffee cart would otherwise obtain.
