Demand for a partial refund on parking passes at Algonquin College!

President Cheryl Jensen at Algonquin College has stated that all campuses are open and students are encouraged to study and use campus facilities during the work stoppage and will not be getting refunds on the parking passes purchased by students. It has been over 10 school days that we have lost and there is no further information on whether or not the strike will be coming to an end soon. The main reason for coming to Algonquin is to get an education, go to class and learn from the teachers. If we have no reason to come to school, why should the school be gaining money from their students if they do not provide us with the main reason we pay for school, an education. Not an open room and Starbucks amongst other amenities on campus. We are not asking for a full refund but a refund for the time of the strike.
