Make Swimming Optional at the Wissahickon High School

Recently, an email was sent out announcing that there would be swimming at the Wissahickon High School starting in the 2017-2018 school year. I know that I, and many of my peers strongly dislike swimming. This is most likely due to the fact that I, and many other students have had swimming since the sixth grade, and every grade since then. What benefit does a fourth year of swimming instruction bring? I hope that this petition will make it optional.
