Hilary Robinson, played by Anne Scott-Pendlebury, was an iconic 80's character. When Mrs Mangel departed, the street lacked a nosey neighbours. This is where Hilary came in. Sharp-tongued, proud and interfering, Hilary was the cousin of Jim and began causing issues from the moment she arrived on Ramsay Street. Her first appearance in 1987 at Scott & Charlene's wedding saw her nearly discover that Paul & Gail's marriage was a shame. During her time on the show, she revealed she had an illegitmate son, Matthew, and fell in love with Mr. Muir, Erinsborough's High's principal.
Nearly 24 years after Hilary's departure, Ramsay Street is once again lacking a busybody. What better way to fill that gap than bringing back one of the iconic busybodies. Hilary's return would provide a connection to the show's great past and and also provide some much needed noseyness.
